A Preferred Provider Organization is an association of Health Care plan sponsors (employers) that pool resources, share ideas and gather information on insurers and health care providers. A PPO will arrange contracts between a select group of health care providers, but is NOT a provider itself.

Highlights of a typical plan include, but are not limited to:

  • A network of Doctors and Specialists to choose from.
  • In Network Co-Pays for services performed by a network provider.
  • Built in Prescription coverage or Prescription Drug Cards
  • Out of Network Coverage (works on a deductible and co-insurance basis).
  • NO requirement for referrals to in or out of network specialists
